The Greensboro Volunteer Fire Company is 1 of 8, 100% volunteer fire companies in Caroline County, Maryland on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. Greensboro V.F.C. provides Fire, Rescue and Emergency Medical Services to the citizens of "The City" of Greensboro and surrounding areas close to "The City". Greensboro V.F.C. also has mutual aid agreements with all other towns in Caroline County, and surrounding counties such as Talbot
and Queen Anne's County Maryland, as well as Kent County Delaware. |

No Limit Texas Hold'em Tournament
| The Greensboro Volunteer Fire Company will host a No Limit, Texas Hold ’em poker tournament on Saturday, May 10th, 2008 at the Greensboro Fire Company at 116 N. Main St. Doors open at 5:00 PM and play starts at 7:00 PM. Entry fee $75 with no ante or re-buys. Fee includes $4000 in chips. Format will consist of 20 minute blinds. Building Fire On Shore Highway
March 17, 2008
At 1752 hours Tanker 606 was alerted to assist units on scene of a working building fire on Shore Highway. Moments later E-604 was alerted to transfer to Station 400 (Ridgely). As E-604 went off the air at Station 400 they were advised by Caroline to respond to the scene. Units operated for approximently 2 hours and 40 minutes before clearing at 2032 hours. Officer 317(Girvin) had "Shore Highway Command."

House Fire In Ridgely
March 15, 2008
At 2330 hours units were dispatched to 23676 Chicken bridge Road in Ridgely for a house fire. Chief 4 went O/L and reported a single story abandoned house heavy fire showing. Officer 416 (Ebling) established command. E-401 and E-603 were assigned to fire attack on the "Alpha" side while crews from E-405, E-85 and E-604 handled the "Charlie" side. Units operated for approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes before clearing at 0150 hours.

Training With Denton
February 18, 2008
Tonight 10 members headed to Denton to train with their members on ventilation and search and rescue. Crews worked with Deputy Chief Bambary on search and rescue training. Deputy Chief Bambary also reviewed how to breech a wall. Crews then reviewed ventilation techniques with Assistant Chief Girven and Firefighter Smith from Denton. We would like to thank Denton VFC for the opportunity to train with them.
