Greensboro Vol. Fire Company

At 1608 hours units were dispatched to the area of 8614 Andersontown Rd for a field Fire. Brush 602 and Tanker 606 were responding along with units from Denton and Harrington when Caroline advised the caller reported 5-6 acres involved. E-304 requested the 2nd alarm bringing E-604 to the scene which was on a stand-by at Ridgely. E-304 went O/L and confirmed 5-6 acres involved. Officer 324 (Franklin) established "Andersontown Rd Command." Brush 602 and E-604 were put to work putting a stop to the fire, while tanker 606 took the assignment of water supply. Units operated for approximately 1hour and 50 minutes before clearing at 1754 hours. Thanks to Queen Anne's Engine Company 51 for standing by.
