Rescue Runs M.V.C. in Ridgely

At 1328 hrs R-600 along with Station 400(Ridgely) and PM491(CCEMS) were alerted to Ridgely Rd. and River Rd in the 4-3 box for a MVC with injuries. While units were en route Caroline ECC reported caller advised 1 patient believed to be unconscious, PM491 went O/L and reported 1 vehicle into a pole occupant still inside. Chief 4 went O/L and Officer 415(Hayes) established "Ridgely Rd Command"  and requested the first arriving engine to perform a rapid extrication and start CPR. E-405 assisted with patient care while E-401 secured the vehicle, R-600 staged and was released at 1346 hrs

MVC In Ridgely Results In 2 Fly-Outs

At 1753 Hrs Station 400(Ridgely) along with R-600 and PM492(CCEMS) were dispatched to the area of Ridgely Rd. Near River Rd. in the 4-3 Box for a MVC involving a motorcycle. PM492 went O/L and reported 1 Motorcycle involved with 2 patients in the roadway. E-405 arrived and Officer 418(Gunderson) established "Ridgely Rd. Command" and requested a second paramedic unit bringing PM791(CCEMS) and also requested Maryland State Police Aviation for 2 Med-Evac's, bringing Troopers 1 and 2.  Command was then transfered to Officer 416(Ebling) and Officer 418(Gunderson) asssumed responsibility of establishing the landing zone. R-600 arrived and assisted with patient care. Both patients were flown to Shock Trauma. Units cleared the call at 1907 Hrs

  

Fire Company Annual Picnic

Oct. 8, 2006  

About 20 members and their families gathered today at Holiday Park Campground for our annual picnic. Members enjoyed crabs, shrimp, burgers, hot dogs, and salads. Members also played a game of football and enjoyed a hay ride through the park. We would like to thank all who attended making the picnic a success. We would also like to thank Goldsboro VFC for providing stand by crew and George Cohey of Ridgely VFC for taking care of the cooking.  

  

   

Building Fire at The Denton Post Office

Oct. 24, 2006

At 1427 Hrs. Station 300(Denton) along with E-603 and PM391(CCEMS) were dispatched for a report of a building fire at 503 Market St,. "The Denton Post Office". E-304 arrived O/L to find a single story commercial building with nothing evident, Officer 318(Branson) established "Post Office Command". E-304's crew assessed the situation and found light smoke conditions in the building. E-603 was assigned Thermal Imaging and to assist with ventilation. Units operated for approx 15 minutes before clearing the scene at 1441 Hrs.

Change Your Clocks.........Change Your Batteries

Don't forget on Sunday October 29, 2006 clocks get set back 1 hour to standard time. As a reminder you should change the batteries in your smoke detectors, testing your batteries in your smoke detector should be done monthly. Working House Fire In Goldsboro

Oct. 31, 2006

AT 2253 hours Stations 700(Goldsboro), 56(Marydel) and "The City"  were dispatched to 25220 Schuyler Rd. for a house fire. E-703 went O/L and reported a working fire. Officer 717(Cahall) established "Schuyler Rd Command." E-603 was given the assignment of assisting with the interior attack, while R-600 was assigned RIT. Tanker 606 was assigned to Water Supply as a nurse tanker along with Tanker 704. Command then requested E-401(transfer crew from Station 600) to the scene along with Tanker 406 to assist with water shuttle. Units operated for approx 3hrs before clearing the scene at 0205 hours. Thanks to Denton VFC and Ridgely VFC for providing transfer crews.

Halloween in "THE CITY"

Oct. 31 2006

Tonight about 15 members gathered at the firehouse to greet trick or treaters. Members gave out candy to all the little ghosts and goblins in "The City" and even had a visit from some Superheros such as Spiderman, Superman and some future Fire Fighters.
