Greensboro VFC Longaberger Basket

Attention all you LONGABERGER BASKET collectors.....the Greensboro Volunteer Fire Company will have our first annual GVFC Spring Basket available for purchase. Below are some photos of the basket. 2006 Carnival

Sept. 13, 2006

Our annual carnival, originally scheduled for the end of June, will be held September25 -30. We look forward to to seeing you there and appreciate your continued support. As usual, we will have a raffle drawing on Sept. 30th giving away prizes to three lucky winners. Come try one of our new ANGUS hamburgers and our hand sliced, fresh french fries. Here is our schedule af events:

                       Tuesday Sept. 25th  thru Thursday Sept. 28th Ride all night for $15

                       Friday Sept. 29th     Fireworks  10:45pm

                       Saturday Sept. 30th  Parade to begin at 6pm

M.V.C Results In Fly Out

Sept. 30, 2006

At 2104 hrs Rescue 600, Engine 85(QAHVFC), Ambulance 80(QAHVFC) and PM 791(CCEMS) were dispatched to the area of 13160 Holly Rd in the 6-8 box for a MVC with roll over. Engine 85 arrived on location and reported 1 vehicle overturned with 5 occupants, Officer 804(Vorhees) established "Holly Rd Command". Maryland State Police Aviation was requested for the driver of the vehicle bringing Trooper 1.  Rescue 600 arrived and was given the assignment of the landing zone.  Officer 615 (House) handled the landing zone. The patient was transported to Shock Trauma. Units cleared the call at 2154hrs  ** Engine 85 and Ambulance 80 were standing by at carnival grounds at the time of dispatch**

2006 Carnival Another Success

The 2006 Carnival closed tonight after a successful week. We would to thank everyone who came out to support us and we hope to see you next year in June.  We would also like to thank all who provided Fire and EMS stand by's during the carnival.
