Prom Promise At North Caroline High
May 4, 2007
Today Rescue 600 and Chief 6 along with units from Ridgely, Denton and Caroline County EMS conducted the annual "Prom Promise" demonstration at North Caroline High School. The Prom Promise program gives students a first hand look at what could happen if they are involved in a serious MVC. A mock accident with entrapment was set up in the school parking lot. Students got to see first hand how fire crews stabilize and extricate patients as well as how patient care is performed on a MVC. This demonstration gave students an example why it is important not to drink and drive, as well as how general safety while driving is important.
