Annual Awards Banquet

Tonight members gathered at the VFW for our annual awards banquet. After a very good dinner prepared by the VFW Auxiliary, Outgoing President Stoner made a few announcements before giving out a few administrative awards to include President's award presented to Karen Harvey, Fletch Gowen, and Rich Covert. After the administrative awards Fire Chief House presented awards to include Officer Of The Year(Fletch Gowen), Firefighter Of The Year(Billy Bradley), and Junior Member Of The Year(Rodney BamBary). Deputy Chief Bambary presented Alvin "Buddy" Simpson with the Curtis Harvey Memorial Award. After awards members finished off they night with a dance. We would like to thank "The Hilltop Volunteers" for providing a stand by so our members could enjoy the evening.
Engine Goes To Grasonville On Multi-Alarm Fire

At 2030 hours E-603 along with units from stations 300, 400 and 700 were alerted for transfers to Queen Anne County. While en route to Station 3(Queenstown) E-603 was advised by Queen Anne Communications to make a response to the fire scene. E-603 arrived and staged for approximately 30 minutes before returning. E-603 was then transferred back to Station 3 for a short time before returning to quarters around 2230 hours. Photos can be seen at gvfd2.com.
