Traumatic Injury Leads To Flyout

At 08:28 hours Caroline County EMS was alerted for a traumatic injury at 26230 Whitleysburg Rd. P692
arrived on location to find a patient with a fracture to the upper bone of the leg. CCEMS paramedic quickly
called for MSP Aviation. The engine was alerted to set up a landing zone for Trooper 6 with a 15 min Eta. E603 responded and established a landing zone in the field across from Harfield Ln. Officer 620(Starkey) established Whitleysburg Rd command. Both units operated for approximately a half hour before returning.

Building Fire In Goldsboro
April 6, 2009
At 12:40 hours Goldsboro, Greensboro, Marydel, Ridgely were alerted for a possible building fire at 26165
Bee Tree Rd. Engine 603 responded on the call. Officer 422(Winchester) went on location with a small outbuilding on fire. Officer 422 established Bee Tree Rd command until E703 arrived on location. Command advised that the building was hard to access and that a brush truck was needed to access the fire. Brush 602 was alerted for foam to help extinguish the fire. E603 stood by at Station 700 until units cleared the scene about an hour later.

House Fire In Goldsboro
April 11, 2009
At 1042 hours units were dispatched to the area of Castle Hall Road and Manspeaker Lane for a house fire. Officer 715 (Bartz) went on location reporting a vacant house with fire through the roof and established Manspeaker Lane Command. Due to the location of the house Engine 603 laid in 1000 foot of supply line to complete engine 702's lay before going to work assisting with a defensive attack. After the fire was knocked Command held the assignment to Station 700 Units Engine 603, Tanker 606, and Engine 56-1 for overhaul. Engine 603 and Tanker 606 cleared the call at 1502 hours.

Engine Goes To Milford For Multi-alarm Fire

At 0658 hours Engine 604 was dispatched to transfer to Kent County Delaware Station 52(Houston) while their units were operating at a multi alarm hotel fire in Milford. Shortly after the engine went off the air at Houston VFC they were advised by Kent Center to make a response to the scene. Engine 604 was assigned to the water supply group and assisted by shuttling water to the fire scene. Engine 604 returned to quarters around 1045 hours.

Early Morning House Fire
April 27, 2009
At 07:37 hours units were dispatched to 538 Vaughn Ave. for a reported house fire. Engine 603 and Engine 604 responded on the call. Officer 616(Bambary) went on location with smoke showing and had Vaughn Ave. command. After further investigation crews determined that it was a small kitchen fire and command advised all units to slow ther response but continue in to the scene. Crews operated for about an hour before clearing the scene.

Brush and Engine Assist In Denton
April 27, 2009
At 14:30 hours units were alerted to assist Denton on a woods fire in the area of Mitchell Road and Shore Highway. Both the Engine and Brush Truck responded to the scene. E304 arrived on location to find a large area in the woods on fire. Officer 319(Higgs) had Mitchell Road command. Crews from both pieces assisted Denton VFD with extinguishment of the fire. Crews operated for 2 hours before returning.
